As our discussion topic on professional development comes to a close, I would like to take a moment to thank our guest curator Kate Davis and the wonderful team from the QUT Information Studies Group. They have provided the ILN community with much food for thought. Over the last two weeks we’ve seen some robust discussions about professional development and how to fit it into our busy professional and personal lives.
For those who couldn’t join our Twitter chat, I suggest you check out the Storify below which captures the discussions on the night. Tweets were flying thick and fast as clearly our community had much to say about professional development. It was great to see many new participants as well as some familiar faces. Sam Searle has even written a blog post about her experiences joining a Twitter Chat for the first time. If you want to learn more about how Twitter chats work, check out the excellent introductory post Kate Davis published before the chat.
We hope you are all inspired to continue your professional development and try new things. Up next will be our final discussion topic for Round 2016A of the ILN Peer Mentoring Program. Remember to submit your EOI to receive a notification when applications open for our next round.
