Cate is currently the Curriculum Resource Centre Coordinator at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. A special academic librarian and former elementary school teacher-librarian, Cate has also worked in public libraries and in an academic ESL library and is a book reviewer for CM Magazine. She has traveled to Guatemala and Honduras as an international library volunteer and will soon volunteer in Bolivia and Spain. Cate serves on the Programming Team for the Education Institute, a continuing education program for library information workers developed by The Partnership of Provincial and Territorial Library Associations of Canada and she is also a member of the Atlantic Provinces Library Association and the Nova Scotia Library Association.
