We want you! To write for the ILN

The International Librarians Network loves to feature blog posts that showcase the wonderful and varied world of the ILN community. We welcome contributions of short articles to be published on our blog. We accept two types of articles:

Send us a postcard

We want to know more about you and your libraries and workplaces. So we want you send us a ‘postcard’ from your library (or office) and share a little bit about your world with the rest of the world. To send in a postcard include a photo (or two) and a paragraph of text about your world. That’s all you need to do!

Share with us what makes your workplace special – it could be a special collection, a cool architectural feature, a gorgeous location, a special service – anything at all! Stuck for ideas? Check out some of the awesome postcards we have received already.

Write a short article on a topic you are passionate about

Have you got a special topic that you are passionate about? We welcome short articles about different aspects of the library and information industry.

Articles should be a maximum of 400 words. Remember the ILN audience is extremely diverse and many not be experts in your field, so please ensure articles are written in language that is clear and easy to follow, avoid jargon and ensure that all acronyms are easy to follow.  We also love pictures to illustrate the article when possible.

How to submit your article

All articles and pictures should be submitted via email to contact@interlibnet.org
