Today’s postcard comes from Clenda Wockner, Library Manager with Buller District Council in New Zealand.
I live and work in Westport – a beautiful small town on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. The magnificent Paparoa Ranges form the backdrop to the main street and the Buller River meets the sea at our harbour. We have a lovely little library which offers as many services as possible to our community – and delivers everything with a smile. In a town this size, we get to know our community very well and our working days are quite social.
My office does not get the view but that is perhaps just as well. I am pleased though that my office is very close to the circulation desk and that many of our library patrons feel comfortable popping their heads around the corner of my office to say hello. It is never a tidy office but it serves the purpose.
Thanks for sharing Clenda!
